Digital Diabetes Clinic (DDC)
The Digital Diabetes Clinic (DDC) adds to the interdisciplinary treatment concept of our Social Pediatric Center (SOZ) by offering remote consultations for children with diabetes and their families. All data from insulin pumps, blood glucose meters and sensors are uploaded from patients’ homes to a secure Charité server and can be accessed around the clock - by patients, their families, and by the care team. Remote consultations with the care team take place online via video chat, to collaboratively work together and continuously improve on long-term therapy goals. Furthermore, acute needs can be addressed in the "on-demand" clinic.
The DDC project is funded by the Berlin Institute of Health (BIH).
